President Barack Obama will take the podium on Tuesday night (Jan. 12) to debut his final State of the Union address. There will be a bevy of topics that Obama will tackle, but courtesy of The White House, viewers can take a trip down memory lane of his past speeches in the United States Capitol.
But before you view Obama’s speeches since 2009, The White House also released a video promo for tonight’s address, The president will meet issues head-on including veterans benefits, affordable education and more job opportunities. He also reminisced on where the country was seven years ago when he first took office.
“We’ve gotten amazing things done over the last seven years,” he said. “You think about yanking ourselves out of an economic crisis, putting people back to work, making sure that our manufacturing base is strong, dealing with big challenges like healthcare, education, our environment.”
