On his final “Mean Tweets” appearance as POTUS on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Monday night (Oct. 24), President Barack Obama made the most of it by verbally body slamming the Republican presidential candidate, Donald Trump.
As for his trolls, they targeted his physique, negotiation skills and blamed him for simply being Obama. “Bro, do you even lift?” one Twitter user said. “Well, I lifted the ban on Cuban cigars,” he replied. “That’s worth something.” “My mom bought new conditioner, and it sucks… I blame Obama,” someone else said.
But his Achilles heel proved to be his dad jeans, a staple in his casual wear and the source of many jokes throughout his tenure. “This jeans thing, this is so old,” he said. “This was years ago. Come on.”
His final tweet reading came from Trump, who tweeted, “President Obama will go down as perhaps the worst president in the history of the United States!” in early August. The tweet didn’t go unnoticed as Obama eloquently replied, “Well, @realDonaldTrump,” he said, “at least I will go down as a president.”
While on the couch with Kimmel, Obama admitted he laughs at the Republican presidential candidate during his infamous debates. “Most of the time,” Obama said. He also shared that he cares less about what his “critics” think. “I don’t tweet at 3 a.m. about people who insult me,” he said.
Obama is currently in Los Angeles to campaign for Hillary Clinton and Democrats in general. “The President will spend a significant amount of time traveling next week in support of not just Secretary Clinton’s presidential campaign, but Democrats further down the ballot, as well,” spokesman Josh Earnest said to CNN.
