Quiet as kept, Charlamagne Tha God may be Jamaican with all the jobs he has. If he’s not crowning someone Donkey of The Day for their foolishness on Power 105.1’s The Breakfast Club, he’s talking his talk alongside Andrew Schulz on his Brilliant Idiots podcast. Lately Charlamagne’s been adding to his list of jobs by touring the country in promotion of his new book Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes To Those Who Create It.
Now, Charlamagne has gathered quite a few haters for his outlandish comments, but he’s also merited more than a couple of supporters as well. While out in L.A., Charlamagne took questions from a packed audience regarding his New York Times bestseller and one man especially left a lasting impression. Kevin, who goes by the name of Blind Visionary, immigrated to California from Kingston, Jamaica and personally thanked the newly-minted author for always being honest, and keeping him lucid as he deals with his handicap.
“You’ve always spoke your mind and kept it 100 and listening to you on Brilliant Idiots and The Breakfast Club has kept me sane through this very difficult process and I wanted to thank you for that,” Kevin said.
As Kevin continued to thank Charlamagne for his constant inspiration, the 35-year-old who seldom is at a loss for words, nodded his head and took it all in. Congrats to Charlamagne!
