Some people were born to win and Michael Jordan is one of those guys.
Forbes announced the beloved former Chicago Bulls shooting guard is officially a billionaire. Although number 23 didn’t crack the top 10 (or top 100 for that matter) coming in at number 1,741, Jordan earned his coins from a few different hustles.
According to CNN Money, Jordan received 90 million from his endorsement deal with Nike, but it’s his majority ownership of the Charlotte Hornets basketball team that earned Jordan a spot on the list.
The team worth an estimated $700 million, along with MJ’s other hustles, including Gatorade, Hanes and Upper Deck, tipped the scales in his favor and welcomed him to the billionaires club.
The six-time NBA champion is one of 290 new billionaires added to the list. Who took the number one spot, you say? Bill Gates of course, and the youngest to make the prestigious list is 24 year old Snapchat co-founder Evan Spiegel.
So Mike, since you’ve got all this money, what’s good? Because I got these student loans.
