Keepin’ it real has gone very wrong for Blake Griffin.
The L.A. Clippers star has been hit with a misdemeanor battery charge after reportedly slapping a man named Daniel Schuman at Tao Las Vegas last month (Oct. 19). Griffin allegedly became annoyed with the flash of Schuman’s phone camera, and grabbed him by the neck. Threatening the man to give up his phone “or else,” the NBA player then slapped Schuman across the face, according to TMZ Sports.
Griffin’s charge could either land him six months in jail or a $1,000 fine – but jail time is not probable (duh). TMZ also reports that security footage of Griffin and Schuman has been obtained, and the alleged slap is not included in the video. No video, no proof? We’ll see.
Griffin has (wisely) remained silent about the incident.
