The Golden State Warriors cruised to another victory as this one was over after the 3rd quarter, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers, Sunday (June 5) 110-77.
The Cavaliers had no answer for the suffocating defense exhibited by the Warriors, as they we’re held to 35% shooting from the floor and 21% from downtown. Draymond Green powered the offense as an honorary Splash Brother for the night with 28 points, including five three pointers. He also added seven rebounds and six assists.
The 33 point win was the largest in Golden State finals history. Matters only became worse for “The Land” as Kevin Love took an inadvertent elbow to the head from Harrison Barnes leaving him woozy on the floor. He returned to the game after a timeout, but ended up leaving again early the 3rd quarter with concussion like symptoms. His status is unclear for Game 3 as he goes through the concussion protocol.
“They just beat us,” LeBron James said after his 25 straight post-season games with 20 points was snapped, finishing with 19 points in addition to turning the ball over seven times. “We didn’t win anything. No points of the game did we beat them in anything.”
The defeat comes after King James gifted his teammates with headphones prior to Game 2. Even after the generous gift, help was still nowhere to be found for the Akron native.

The Cavaliers tried to match-up with the Warriors “small ball” lineup where LeBron was essentially the center. When Richard Jefferson is your 2nd best player on the floor in 2016, that is going to be a problem. Curry managed an efficient 18 points while dealing with foul trouble, as the defending champions throttled Cleveland 110-77.
Stephen A. Smith erupted with an epic Twitter rant as the beat-down ensued.
This is downright embarrassing. The Cavs should be ashamed of themselves. Totally overmatched now, but especially with EFFORT. #Disgraceful!

I can’t defend this anymore. There comes a pt where you tell your team: “Move the $&@$ out of my way. I’ll win it my damn self.” Regardless!

Cleveland will look to bounce back Wednesday night (June 8) in a must-win Game 3 at home as their backs are against the wall. It’s not close to over, but LeBron and company will need to dig deep and make major adjustments if they want to have a chance going forward.
