Audience members at Sunday’s (Apr. 2) Jamz Cheer and Dance competition in Irvine, Calif. witnessed boxer Floyd Mayweather’s dedication to his daughter’s cheerleading craft firsthand.
According to TMZ Sports, Mayweather reportedly approached the judge’s table after it was announced that his 12-year-old’s cheerleading team came in second place at the competition. Event announcer Jeff Krapf said that he overheard the boxer cursing out the judges before yelling, “I fund this program!” after the results were read.
Eventually, the executives at the event pulled Mayweather into a private area to discuss the results of the competition away from the kids. Krapf also felt that Mayweather would start to get physical, as he began to get very heated on the competition floor.
“I thought, ‘Well great, here’s my big paycheck. My payday’s coming!’ But it didn’t happen,” he said.
Mayweather, who has recently come out of retirement and is slated to box Conor McGregor, may be a bit over the top, but we’ve got to admit- it’s incredible to see a father so involved in his daughter’s extracurricular activities.
