On Friday (February 20) Mayweather took to his Shots social media page to snap a photo of the signed contract agreement between he and Pacquiao, and let fans know May 2nd is when it will all go down.
“Mayweather vs. Pacquiao on May 2, 2015, is a done deal. I promised the fans we would get this done and we did.” Mayweather said.
The highly anticipated fight will take place at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where the two prized boxers will determine which is the better athlete. Mayweather, 37, is placing his undefeated record of 47-0 on the line against 36-year-old Pacquiao’s 57-5 record.
The fight will also prove lucrative for both fighters. According to the Washington Post, If Mayweather wins, he could pocket $120 million, while if Pacquiao proves to be the victor, he’ll take home a smooth $80 million.
