Former Washington Wizard Gilbert Arenas isn’t buying Tiger Woods’ DUI excuse. The good folks over at TMZ caught up with the 35-year-old as he was leaving popular West Hollywood restaurant Catch and according to Arenas, he thinks its time for Woods to just fess up to the truth.
“Just say you got drunk, you got f**ked up like everyone else in America,” Arenas said. “Mixed medication, really?”
Arenas chalked up Woods’ statement to being an athlete and adhering to the advice of his PR team.”That’s the suckiest sh*t about being an athlete, you have to lie.”
Arenas, however is no stranger to bad press. Laura Govan, the mother of his four children, recently sat with OWN TV host and life coach Iyanla Vanzant and spoke about her tumultuous relationship with Arenas. The 37-year-old alleges her younger sister Gloria–who is now dating Derek Fisher and has two children with Matt Barnes–slept with Arenas.
“We started dating and it was great, and then I introduced him to my family and in a short period of time it went south, real fast,” she shares. “I believe that he shared a relationship with my sister.”
Arenas either hasn’t seen the promo clip with Govan and Vanzant or isn’t paying it any attention. However, when asked if Woods can successfully return to the green, Arenas said Woods is an exceptional player and can’t be counted out.
