People had a few negative things to say about the Golden State Warriors’ defeat to the Spurs in their season opener this past Tuesday night (Oct. 25), and it’s making Kevin Durant feel a little pressured, but he’s not letting it get to him, ESPN reports.
The Warriors fell victim to the Spurs’ efforts leaving them with a loss at the beginning of the regular season with a score of 129-100, with their only lead of the night being 14-12 in the first quarter.
This is Durant’s first season with the Golden State team and he’s been receiving heat ever since the controversial and spur-of-the-moment trade (no pun intended). But, KD is not one to really respond to anything in the media. He usually keeps to himself and shows out on the court, which makes this moment all the more noteworthy.

He uses the negative media comments to fuel his motivation as he drops bucket, after bucket, after bucket practicing in New Orleans’ Smoothie King Center–long after practice hours–this past Thursday night (Oct. 27), bringing to fruition the proverb “actions speak louder than words.”
Let’s all take notes and apply the Warrior’s same attitude (via his twitter bio): “IM ME, I DO ME, AND I CHILL.”
