Kobe Bryant isn’t taking Wednesday night’s Lakers loss to the Portland Trail Blazers lightly. So much so, he’s putting one of his fellow teammates on extreme blast.
Yahoo! Sports reports that Bryant called out fellow Lakers player Smush Parker as “the worst” and claims, “He shouldn’t have been in the NBA but we were too cheap to pay for a point guard. So we let him walk on.”
Ironically this was said shortly before Wednesday night’s 93-75 exhibition loss to Portland, as Kobe reflected on the team’s 2005-06 season. “I almost won an MVP with Smush Parker and Kwame Brown on my team. I was shooting 45 times a game. What was I supposed to do? Pass it to Chris Mihm or Kwame Brown,” Kobe commented.
With all this drama starting up already, the upcoming NBA season is definitely going to be an interesting one. Let the games begin!
