After 20-year-old singer-songwriter Kehlani attempted to commit suicide, Cleveland Cavalier Kyrie Irving took to Twitter Wednesday night (March 30) to speak his peace and let everyone know he has no ill will towards his ex-girlfriend.
It’s been hard to see what’s been going on and not address the truth. I do not justify the picture or what dude did to try and spark all

Of this non sense that could have been avoided, but Me and Kehlani were not dating when the picture came out.

It’s unfortunate that it’s received so much attention but its become bigger because of a post that was misunderstood.

Nothing but love and compassion over this way for her and her family. My only focus the Game I love to play every night.

“Nothing but love and compassion over this way for her and her family,” Irving, who has remained quiet throughout the entire ordeal, said. Since news broke of Kehlani’s attempted suicide, JoJo, K.Michelle and Questlove along with others have shown their support for “The Way” singer. Friend and mentor Nick Cannon even visited her in the hospital.
However, it was Chris Brown’s insensitive comments that ruffled more than a few feathers when the Royalty singer said Kehlani’s suicide attempt was nothing more than a cry for attention.
Glad to know Irving is taking the high road.
