Six months after Lamar Odom was hospitalized following an incident that left him unconscious in Las Vegas, Nev., the basketball star is finally discussing his health and marriage in his own words.
In an interview with ET at Kobe Bryant’s last game on Wednesday (Apr. 13), Odom updated fans on his progress. “I’ve never been better, especially after tonight,” he said in reference to Bryant’s record-breaking final game.
The Queens native, who went on to praise Bryant for teaching him so much on and off the court, also attempted to end rumors that he was drinking again after pictures of him at a bar were published last week. According to Odom, the endless media speculation is sometimes difficult to manage.
“I mean, it gets tough, especially if so much gets speculated,” he said. “Only a few people know the truth, and I just keep that close to my heart.”
The former Los Angeles Laker also touched on his marriage to Khloe Kardashian. According to TMZ, the reality star, who withdrew divorce paperwork after his health crisis, has put the idea back on the table. Odom said that divorce has indeed been discussed.
“We did talk, you know, everything is [up for] discussion,” he said. “We talk about anything. We’ve been through a lot. It won’t ever stop.”
Though Odom’s marriage and possible divorce is up in the air, the former Sixth Man is sure that an NBA return is in his future. “I still got it,” he said.
