Following the 108-105 Cavaliers pre-season victory over the 76ers, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving were the last two players to leave the locker room and speak to reporters. When The King followed Kyrie to the podium, the 4-time MVP had 5 or 6 laundry sacks in addition to his own, as he picked up the extra clothes left behind in the bedraggled locker room by his teammates.
“Hopefully I only have to say something once,” said the 3-time champion to Cleveland.com, “(We) can’t leave the locker room like that.” It’s pleasant to see no matter how famous or successful the Akron native has become, James still maintains the values and respect that make him the ultimate role model in sports today. Throughout his career, the reigning Finals MVP has always been mindful of the locker room attendant staff.
