LeBron James addressed police brutality Colin Kaepernick’s national anthem protests, and more during the Cavaliers media day Monday (Sept. 26). While James noted that he won’t participate in the protest, he affirmed support for the Keapernick.
In speaking on Kaepernick and police shootings, James revealed a fear that he was for his 12-year-old son.
“I look at my son being four years removed from driving his own car and it’s a scary thought right now to think if my son gets pulled over,” he said.
“It’s a scary a** situation that if my son calls me and says he’s been pulled over,” continues James. “I’m not that confident that things are going to go well and my son’s gonna’ return home, and my son is just starting the sixth grade.”
James added that “we just want to keep the conversation going” in regards to police violence but he also dropped “all lives matter,” and Twitter had mixed reactions.
Lebron James should’ve just said “White lives matter” being the fact that All lives matter was created to try to silence Black lives matter.
