Some might find it surprising that LeBron James’ children refuse to wear the same jersey number as their dad. Last year, James told Sports Illustrated for a cover story that LeBron James Jr. isn’t too keen on sporting his jersey, because, he “doesn’t want people to know who he is.”
“He hates when they ask him for pictures and autographs,” he continued. “He won’t even wear my number.”
King James’ younger son won’t wear his jersey either. In a video that James shared yesterday (Mar 14), you’ll see that Lebron James Jr. has decided to go with number 0, and Bryce Maximus with number 30. And behind their selection, comes a liking for the respective players who sport those particular numerals on their jerseys.

Last night in an interview with ESPN, LeBron told reporter Dave McMenamin that LeBron Jr. likes No. 0 because of Russell Westbrook, and Bryce choose No. 30 because of Steph Curry.
LeBron tells me LeBron Jr. (No. 0) & Bryce (No. 30) wear their numbers after Westbrook & Steph. “I love that they carve their own path”

Does it surprise you that LeBron’s kids rather opt for different jerseys, and not their dad’s?
