LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers refuse to stay at New York’s Trump Hotel
Despite the Cavalier match up with the Knicks Wednesday night, (Dec 7) LBJ and the gang have refused to stay at the Trump hotel in Soho. They’re not the first NBA team to cancel on the Trump hotel this season. James and the 14-player roster have all made reservations to stay at a different hotels for the time being. General manager, David Griffin says the team has been excused from staying at the planned Trump Hotel in Lower Manhattan. This comes after Donald Trump was elected as the president of the United States.
If the Cavaliers end up facing off against the Knicks in the Eastern Conference Finals they will stay further away from Madison Square Garden. If they stayed at the Trump Hotel it would’ve only been about 10 minutes from the world’s most famous arena.
