If you’re a Michael Jordan fan, you’re in luck. A 10-hour documentary about the NBA superstar is reportedly in the works, according to the New York Post. The NBA is teaming up with Creative Artists Agency (CAA) for an authorized documentary, which will showcase the death of Jordan’s father, and his first retirement in 1993.
You’ll see clips of his return to the Chicago Bulls for their second three-peat era, and his small stint at playing minor league baseball. The project has reportedly been pitched to Fox Sports, HBO, ESPN and Showtime. Jordan’s reps are fishing for a deal deeper than $20 million. The producing collaboration for the project includes Mike Tollin from ESPN’s 30 for 30 series and Peter Guber from Mandalay Sports Media.
The documentary will also focus on Jordan’s love for gambling. To say the least, it seems like the film will give basketball fans everywhere a raw, poignant look into the 53 year-old’s life. Are you excited to see this documentary?
