You can’t mention the game of basketball without mentioning arguably the greatest basketball player of all time, Michael Jordan. MJ dazzled basketball fans for nearly two decades with his array of skill, relentless work ethic and an thirst to win on all fronts.
So it’s no surprise that even at 53, he still has some of that competitive edge that tends to resurface from time to time (Watch his 2009 Basketball Hall Of Fame speech) On Saturday (July 30th) the children at MJ’s Flight School camp got an up close and personal look at why he is considered The G.O.A.T.

LA Clippers guard Chris Paul challenged his business partner and mentor on the court. Jordan had to shoot six shots. If he missed three, the entire Flight School camp got new Jordan shoes.
As expected, Jordan made all six of his shots and the kids didn’t get their wish fulfilled. That is until Chris Paul traded the microphone for the basketball and gave it a try himself when Jordan switched it up and told Paul if he makes all six of his shots, the kids will get new shoes.
CP3 ended up missing a couple of shots and as you can see, the kids were all in for the sake of a fresh new pair of shoes. Sharp-shooting legend Derek Fisher stepped up and tried to save the day but to no avail. He had to shoot a few shots but missed them while the kids chanted, “One more shot.”

After being mum for quite some time, Jordan finally spoke about the travesties that are occurring in America amongst cops and minorities. Jordan stated “We need to find solutions that ensure people of color receive fair and equal treatment AND that police officers – who put their lives on the line every day to protect us all – are respected and supported.” He also made a donation of $1 millions dollars to the International Association of Chiefs of Police’s Institute for Community-Police Relations and the NAACP Legal Defense Fund.
