NBA Hall of Famer Michael Jordan tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Yvette Prieto yesterday in what was supposed to be an exclusive ceremony.
But, when you’re arguably the greatest basketball player of all time, it’s a bit hard to fly under the radar. Photos revealing Jordan’s mammoth-sized wedding tent appeared on the Internet yesterday. As did a number of snapshots revealing several attendees including Patrick Ewing, Tiger Woods and Spike Lee. MJ’s Bulls teammates Ron Harper, Toni Kukoc and Scottie Pippen were also seen arriving to the ceremony.
According to Sports Illustrated, the wedding took place at the Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach. The same establishment, billionaire Donald Trump wed in 2005. Close to 500 guests were on hand for the nuptials, while a reported one thousand more joined the couple at their reception.
Jordan, 50 and his wife, Prieto, 35, have been engaged since December 2011. A source close to both parties says the couple had been planning the event for several months. Congrats MJ!
