Former NFL safety for the Tennessee Titans and Rhodes Scholar Myron Rolle can also add future neurosurgeon to his extensive resume.
The 30-year-old graduated over the weekend from Florida State University College of Medicine with the hopes of becoming a neurosurgeon thanks to a Masters Degree. He will begin a residency program at Harvard Medical School and Massachusetts General Hospital.
On Instagram, the doctor, who was drafted by the Titans in the sixth round of the 2010 NFL Draft, wrote that he’s been waiting to get his doctorate since he was a young boy.
“Been waiting on this moment since the 5th grade,” he wrote. “To be Dr. Myron Rolle. Glad it came today!”
“Seven years of neurosurgery is a big deal, something I wanted for a long time, really excited about it. Today is just great, it’s remarkable,” he said in May. “…Saving lives and helping people live a better life, that’s going to make life worth living.”
Congrats to the Renaissance Man!
