Basketball fans show no mercy. During last night’s NBA Draft in Brooklyn’s Barclays Center (June 25), there was plenty of reason to cheer, boo, and, if you were this pint-sized Knicks Stan, boohoo.

> Knicks trade guard Tim Hardaway Jr. to Atlanta Hawks for Notre Dame’s Jerian Grant. Fans of the blue-and-orange had mixed reactions, knocking the franchise for kicking Timmy to the curb but also embracing Grant’s potential.

> Wyoming senior Larry Nance Jr., who is still battling Crohn’s Disease, gets drafted at no. 27 by the Lakers. The Internet then digs up an old tweet from 2012 where the then-19 year old sent out a tweet calling L.A. star, Kobe Bryant, a “rapist.” While Nance swiftly hit the “delete” button, it may be a rough transition for the PF. ESPN’s Baxter Holmes reported:

> In a more “meh” than “ugh” draft pick, Emmanuel Mudiay slapped on a Nuggets cap after getting picked up by Denver at no. 7. Nuggets’ Ty Lawson soon reacted to the team picking up another point guard by puffing on a hookah pipe and letting the world know he’s privy to the rumors, predicting his future on-camera:

> To the chagrin of Knicks loyalists, the franchise picked up Latvian forward, Porzingis, who still handled the deafening chorus of boos at the Barclays center with class, saying during his interview, “I mean a lot of fans weren’t happy that they drafted me, but I have to do everything that’s in my hands to turn those booing fans into clapping fans,” he said. “There’s nothing I can do. I was happy about it. I want to be a part of this organization, and I know the fans are a little harsh sometimes but that’s how it is here in New York and I’m ready for it.”
