It may be time to just accept that Stephen Curry is not one of us.
The Golden State Warriors star and 2015-16 NBA MVP shoe-in took his knack for shot from behind the arc to new levels on Saturday night (Feb. 28). Fighting off Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and the Oklahoma City Thunder for a 121-118 win, Curry’s three-point shot was on fire, as he beat his own record for most threes made in a season, and tied the record for most three made in a single NBA game. After two clutch free throws from Andre Iguodala to take the nail-biter into overtime, Curry sealed the deal with one last three-point shot–this time from 38 feet out:

In the hard-fought win, Curry finished with 46 points, 288 three-pointers made in a single season (with 24 games to go), and a single-game record that puts him in the realm of Kobe Bryant. Asked about the feat at the game’s conclusion, Curry made it all seem like #NoBigDeal:
“Honestly, I don’t know exactly where I am, so it’s not like I’m calibrating in my head, all right, 38 feet, 37, 36,” he said. “Just literally, you’ve got a sense of — I’ve shot the shot plenty of times, you’re coming across half court and timing up your dribbles, and you want to shoot before the defense goes in. And that was pretty much my only thought.”

Aside from his own wife, Ayesha Curry, being wowed by his big night, NBA players past and present also marveled at Curry’s other-worldly ability:
