Nick Young is at the center of controversy this week, not for his messy romantic indiscretions, but for allegedly attacking someone at a charity basketball game back in Aug. 2016. The Los Angeles Lakers star has reportedly been slapped with a lawsuit for unspecified damages, according to TMZ.
Young was reportedly invited to play in a basketball game with the Shepherd of the Hills Church in Porter Ranch, Calif., TMZ reports. The plaintiff and alleged victim, Luis Solis, claimed the game turned violent when Young grew “enraged” because he thought Solis fouled him, and the ref allegedly missed the call. Young allegedly pounced on Solis on the court, before his teammates joined in to kick him while he was down, according to reports. Solis reportedly suffered from a concussion.
Although the alleged victim did not file a police report at the time of the incident, he’s looking to collect for potential physical and emotional damages, the celeb news publication reports. Young has not commented on the situation.
