With endorsements like Papa John’s, AT&T, and Gatorade, Indiana Pacers MVP Paul George has added another win to his resume as the face of MyNBA2K16. The NBA will be expanding their super popular NBA 2K brand by releasing the up-and-coming MyNBA2K16 mobile app, an on-the-go version of the 2K16 game when you’re miles from your Xbox.
After being on the road to recovery from a horrific leg injury he suffered during a scrimmage for the U.S. national team during the 2014 off-season, George made his return to the court this past April. He shared the big 2K16 news on Twitter:

“I’ve been a long-time fan of the NBA 2K series and love staying close to the game when I’m on the road,” said George in a press release. “Being selected as the face of MyNBA2K16 is the perfect opportunity to stay connected with the game, as well as represent the NBA 2K franchise.”
The app will be free to all iOS and Android users and features the ability to chat with fellow gamers during play. The game also allows users to earn virtual currency to access, and unlock other features and upgrades inside of the game.
“It was a natural choice to select Paul George as 2K’s first-ever cover athlete for MyNBA2K16,” said Alfie Brody, Vice President of Marketing for NBA 2K. “We’re always looking to go where our fans are, and with Paul on the cover, MyNBA2K16 will bring the ultimate mobile experience to fans worldwide.”
MyNBA2K16 is scheduled for an Oct. 1 launch following the video game release of NBA 2K16 on Sept. 29.
