When Prince thinks something is cool, you know it has to be worth a look. And in this case, Prince gave his blessing to Steph Curry, shouting him out at his Oakland, Calif., show yesterday.
In a long-winded and soulful concert, Prince ran through all of his hits. During the conclusion to his sold-out show, he took a break from the tunes, to meditate with his audience. “What can you truly count on besides Steph Curry?” he asked his Paramount Theatre audience. “And you can count on Steph,” he followed.
Prince has previously talked about his love for the game, even mentioning his glory days playing in high school. And now it looks like the singer is showing favoritism for the Warriors All-Star.
The original Purple Rain artist will be in Oakland for a few more days, performing to another sold-out show on March 4. So does that mean we should look out for a special appearance in the stands tomorrow when the Warriors take on Oklahoma City’s Thunder?
