A judge dismissed the domestic violence charges against Ray Rice, who was seen on tape knocking out his then fiancee Janay Palmer in an Atlantic City elevator.
According to USA Today, Judge Michael Donio signed an order after the Atlantic County prosecutor informed him the 28-year-old former running back successfully completed his pretrial intervention.

Under the terms of the agreement, Rice had to pay $125 and take anger management classes. Rice, who was caught on tape dragging his unconscious fiancee’s body out of the elevator, was charged with third-degree aggravated assault.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell initially suspended Rice for two games, but after a second tape was released, and he received much backlash for the light punishment, Goodell suspended Rice indefinitely. Rice appealed the commissioner’s decision with an arbitrator and was later reinstated into the NFL, but has yet to be signed with a team.
Rice, for all intents and purposes, has been given a second chance.
