Although she had to sit out this year’s U.S. Open, Williams still commanded the global spotlight with this exciting news. The tennis champion announced in April 2017 that she was expecting, sending the masses into a fit of celebration.

Sports legend Serena Williams plans to embark on a nine month-long conquest: giving birth to her first child. On Wednesday morning (April 19), news broke that the tennis champion is 20 weeks pregnant, Sports Illustrated notes.
Donning a yellow swimsuit, the Compton native sent fans into a frenzy on Snapchat, but it wasn’t long before other social media users expressed their congrats to the mommy-to-be.
