For those who may not know, Shaquille O’Neal is more than just your friendly 7-feet-1-inch, 344 pound retired basketball player. Shaq also dabbles in the world rap. Back in 1993, O’Neal, then 21, released his debut album Shaq Diesel and subsequently several others for the next five years. After his 1998 album Respect, O’Neal chilled out on making music, but it appears that itch has returned because he’s back in the studio.
The four-time NBA champion was seen in the booth reading lyrics from paper as he recorded his music. While there’s no name for the song, or even if this song will make the cut for whatever project he’s working on, it sounds like Shaq is talking his talk.
Shaq deez/mister call me stack cheese/played the best in my khakis and I’m old school like Chuck D
A cursory Google search will reveal Mr. O’Neal’s album titled Elevated is slated for a 2016 release so we’re just going to have to wait and see what other fire Shaq has in store.
