Four-star wide receiver and Snoop Dogg’s son, Cordell Broadus, has reportedly called it quits with UCLA football. According to Scout.com, the Las Vegas Bishop Gorman prospect did not report to the Bruins’ fall camp in San Bernardino when it commenced on Monday (Aug. 10). According to sources, Broadus was “wanting to do his own thing.”
The hype for Broadus taking his talents and football cleats to UCLA was real. ESPN even rolled out a documentary called Snoop & Son: A Dad’s Dream. While UCLA was the rival school of his father’s beloved team, USC Trojans, Broadus committed to the school in February.

“I feel that UCLA is the best fit for me,” Broadus said during his ESPNU announcement. “I had the offer since my nine-grade year, so I had a great connection with the coaches. I just want to play in front of my family and keep ballin’ out on the field and get a great degree.”
Broadus—who also received offers from Arizona State, Baylor, LSU and USC—reportedly attended UCLA’s summer session and will remain at the school.
To note, Diddy’s son, Justin Combs, who is a sophomore defensive back on the UCLA team, popped up for Monday’s practice despite alleged problems his father had with the coach earlier this year.
