From getting a quick snack at In-N-Out Burger to possibly running basketball drills at Drake’s spacious abode, NBA champ Stephen Curry and the Toronto native have formed a budding friendship for us all to envy.
Late 2015, Drizzy added to that sentiment when he stated on his track, “Summer Sixteen,” that Curry and the Golden State Warriors practiced in his Cali-based home, which led a few people to wonder if that was indeed true. Well, Curry recently shared the backstory to that line during a chat with ESPN’s Cabral Richards.
Although the entire GSW roster wasn’t putting into action their intricate plays that we’re currently witnessing this Playoffs season, Curry was in fact clocking in overtime when he played a game of one-on-one against his brother-in-law.
While Drake and his friends sat front row for the showdown, Curry said his brother-in-law “got all that work.”
“They were watching, they didn’t really shoot that much that day,” he said. “My brother-in-law got all that work. Drake and his boys and some of my family was in the stands.”
