Tuesday night (June 28) Nike hosted Unlimited Innovation, a peek into the uniforms that have been designed for Team USA and other summer stories that will be released.
The event featured all the uniforms on golden mannequin displays, elevated in typical Olympic in-action stances. Each featured different technologies that would benefit the sport it is to be worn for, but the design elements were the same. Lots of hidden technology that flashed USA, numbers, and gradual coloring to denote speed and victory. The Team USA Reveal Jacket will be available to the public this summer and features sleeves that flash not only the USA colors, but yellow for Brazil.

Nike has chosen Volt and Hyper Punch Pink as their colorway for the Olympics and upcoming summer releases to denote speed and “mimics the optic flow of a breakneck runner.” The inspiration came from imagining athletes’ trip to the tropics as well as elements of nature, such as the metallic coloring of a beetle.

Also featured was the Nike Lab x Riccardo Tisci collection set to drop. While no pictures were able to be taken, the promotional editorial did not do the pieces justice. Well made and fashionably forward, it definitely holds some must haves.
Overall Nike has Team USA set to not only perform, but to stun their opponents.
