Steve Ballmer had his own 8 Mile moment during the Clippers Fans Festival on Monday (Aug. 18), making his debut as the new owner of the Los Angeles team. In an intro fitting of the WWE, the former head of Microsoft pulled a Hulk Hogan, soaking up the adoration of some 4,500 fans, players and head coach Doc Rivers, to the tune of Eminem’s “Lose Yourself.” While the Seattle resident guaranteed that the Clippers wouldn’t move to Washington, he did promise a banner season.
“We’re going to be bold. Bold means taking chances,” he said, according to the AP. “We’re going to be optimistic. We’re going to be hard-core. Nothing gets in our way, boom! The hard-core Clippers, that’s us.”
See Ballmer lose it at L.A.’s Staples Center at the 30:03 mark above.
