10 Artists Britney Spears Should Work With On Her New Album

September 20, 2013 - 4:36 pm by Chris Yuscavage

Britney Spears is ready to get back to work. Spears—who announced this week that she'll start a two-year residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas called Britney, A Piece of Me beginning in December— is reportedly in the studio working on her eighth solo album. she just gave us a taste of what's to come by releasing the appropriately-titled lead single from the project, "Work Bitch."

What else is she cooking up in the lab? Unfortunately, we don't know. Britney hasn't even announced an album title yet. But we do know who we hope she's working with at the moment. Here are 10 artists Britney Spears should collaborate with on the new project.

The Artist: Justin Timberlake Why We Hope He's Working With Britney: It's been how long since these two broke up? If they both want to make some real noise right now and shock the world—and Justin just might want to do it since he's dropping another album soon—they should put whatever differences they've had in the past aside and get into the studio together. Let's let bygones be bygones, guys, and have some fun. We can pretty much guarantee that you would have the most anticipated song of the year if you ever collaborated on a track. The Artist: Justin Bieber Why We Hope He's Working With Britney: If Britney doesn't want to work with the other Justin on a track, what about calling on Justin Bieber for one? Britney and Biebs are two of the biggest pop stars of the past 10 years. We're sure that they could cook up a No. 1 hit. Then again, the beauty of having two stars this big on the same song is that they wouldn't really need to work that hard to achieve success. There's no way a collaboration between them wouldn't move up the Billboard charts immediately. Photo Credit: Celebrity Voice

The Artist: Iggy Azalea Why We Hope She's Working With Britney: The Australian rapper is making a lot of moves right now thanks to the success of her single, "Work." She'd be a perfect fit for the "Work Bitch" remix. Or a different song. There aren't many women rappers in the game at the moment, and Iggy is doing her thing. This seems like it'd be a natural fit. The Artist: Jay Z Why We Hope He's Working With Britney: During his Twitter Q&A with fans in July, someone asked Jay his favorite Britney Spears song and he said he loves "Toxic." In fact, he said, "Toxic Jamming my G," in response to the question. He's also referenced Britney Spears on a number of songs in the past (on Magna Carta Holy Grail, he says "Britney, bitch"). So it would make perfect sense for him to contribute a verse to what will surely be one of the biggest pop albums released in the next few months. Photo Credit: XXL

The Artist: Miley Cyrus Why We Hope She's Working With Britney: Britney and Miley are already doing a song called "SMS (Bangerz)" for Miley's new album. So it's only right that Miley repay Britney's generosity by doing a song for her upcoming album, too. Maybe they could even perform it at the next MTV-related awards show and blow up Twitter once and for all. Hey, it could happen, right? Photo Credit: WallpapersFly

The Artist: Juicy J Why We Hope He's Working With Britney: Britney needs a ratchet track on her new album (c'mon, Brit, all the cool kids are doing it!). Juicy J is the kind of artist who can deliver one. Just ask Miley Cyrus. Photo Credit: The Source

The Artist: Pharrell Why We Hope He's Working With Britney: Everything—and we do mean everything—that Pharrell has touched this summer has turned to gold. Literally. He's helped people sell so many records this summer, it's not even funny. And Pharrell has a history of helping Britney score huge hits ("I'm a Slave 4 U," anyone?). So we wouldn't mind seeing them try to recreate the magic again. Photo Credit: Hypebeast

The Artist: Drake Why We Hope He's Working With Britney: Because you just know that Drizzy would insist on singing on a song with Britney. Photo Credit: HipHopGame

The Artist: Gucci Mane Why We Hope He's Working With Britney: This one is almost too perfect. If you believe everything you read these days, Gucci Mane is going through some sort of nervous breakdown right now. And in the past, Britney has had her fair share of experiences in that arena, too. Getting them into the same studio could produce something pretty dynamic. Or it could be a total train wreck. Either way, it would be epic. Photo Credit: ThisIs50

The Artist: Mike WiLL Made It Why We Hope He's Working With Britney: If Britney doesn't work with anyone else on this list, we really (really, really, really!) hope she works with Mike WiLL. From Rihanna to Miley Cyrus, he has a way of bringing out the best in artists. These two would deliver a classic Britney banger. Photo Credit: The Fader
