The 10 Strangest Beefs Of Drake's Career
Is Drake beefing with another rapper? According to the New York Post, rapper-singer Future made some negative comments about Drake's new album, Nothing Was the Same, during an interview with Billboard recently, and that led to Drake reportedly kicking him off of his "Would You Like A Tour?" tour.
This shouldn't come as a surprise. Even though Drake doesn't seem like a dude who enjoys beef, he's been involved in a number of strange squabbles with different artists. Check out our list of the 10 oddest spats of his career.

The Artist: Common
The Beef: Drake and Common feuded on a series of diss tracks after Common dissed rappers who sing on their records on his song, "Sweet."
Why It Was Strange: Sensitive much? Some people have speculated and said that this beef was actually over Serena Williams, who both Common and Drake reportedly had close relationships with. But if that wasn't the case, then this was one of the silliest beefs ever.

The Artist: Chris Brown
The Beef: Drake and Chris Brown infamously started a melee at a New York City nightclub last year that ended with a bunch of people getting seriously injured. The two were reportedly beefing over Rihanna.
Why It Was Strange: It's not particularly strange to hear that two guys were beefing over a girl. That happens everyday. But it was strange to hear that these two guys were beefing over a girl, especially since neither of them is with said girl anymore. Was the huge fight that came out of this beef really worth it, fellas?

The Artist: Rihanna
The Beef: Drake and Rihanna may have been beefing last year. Rihanna appeared to call Drake an "asshole" after he won an award at the 2012 MTV Video Music Awards.
Why It Was Strange: When Drake won an award at the VMAs, Rihanna refused to clap and could also be seen mouthing the word "asshole" as Drake took the stage. We don't know what he did to her to deserve it. But didn't Drake, like, just try to fight Chris Brown over Rihanna prior to this?

The Artist: Kanye West
The Beef: Drake and Kanye have said a bunch of things both on and off records over the last few years that have been viewed as subliminal shots aimed at one another.
Why It Was Strange: We still don't know if this really was—or is?—an actual beef. Recently, Drake and Kanye performed together at OVO Fest. So we're thinking that if these two did have beef it's over now. But it does seem like they have had some kind of issues in the past. We hope (pray!) that those issues have been resolved so we don't have to try and dissect anymore subliminals.

The Artist: Pusha T
The Beef: Drake and Pusha started going at it in 2011 when Pusha dropped a song called "Exodus 23:1" that featured him throwing shots at Drake.
Why It Was Strange: We're still not totally sure why Pusha doesn't like Drake. We're also not really sure why they're still going at it and haven't squashed whatever beef they had, especially since Pusha's "boss" Kanye West seems to be cool with Drake now. What gives, guys?

The Artist: Ludacris
The Beef: Drake and Ludacris threw some shots at one another after Luda used the "Supa Dupa flow" (aka punchline style of rapping) on "My Chick Bad" and then created a diss song called "Bada Boom" after Sean and Drake said something about it.
Why It Was Strange: Was this really a beef based on how people were rapping at the time? Yes. Yes, it was. Fortunately, both the beef and the punchline rap style disappeared a short time later.

The Artist: Nicki Minaj
The Beef: Drake and Nicki had a falling out of some sort about a year ago. He referenced it on his new song, "Tuscan Leather."
Why It Was Strange: We didn't hear about it when it happened. We're also still not exactly sure what happened to cause these two to beef. So it's a strange situation overall that Drake has only made stranger by refusing to address it in recent interviews.

The Artist: The Weeknd
The Beef: Drake and The Weeknd reportedly had some sort of beef earlier this year that both of them have played down in recent months.
Why It Was Strange: Were they beefing? Were they not beefing? Were they never all that good of friends from the start? We don't really know. But there were reports of friction between these two (and some subliminal shots within a Drake record or two) that led us to believe that they weren't getting along earlier this year. But it seems like everything has been patched up since then.

The Artist: Kardinal Offishall
The Beef: Drake and Kardinal had beef back in 2009 when Kardinal used Drake's "City of Mine" beat and created a song without running it by him first.
Why It Was Strange: It's not strange for an artist to get upset about another artist using his song or a part of his song without permission. But Drake's explanation of this beef was a little bit weird. "I'm upset about the fact that now I feel like when I see this dude, I can't really say, 'What up,' because if I do I feel like, you know, it's a shot to my pride," he said. "I'm going to feel like a punk if I go up to you and say, 'What up,' after you tried to put me in a situation." Uh, what?

The Artist: Kendrick Lamar
The Beef: Drake and Kendrick have been throwing shots at one another ever since Kendrick dropped a verse on Big Sean's "Control" back in August.
Why It Was Strange: This one is still ongoing, so maybe it will prove to be better than the rest of Drake's beefs. But at this point, Drake has seemingly refused to get at Kendrick in a song and has instead resorted to taking shots at him through the media. If he wants to win this one, he's going to need to step up to the plate and issue a response to Kendrick. Otherwise, this will go down as yet another strange beef in a long line of strange beefs that Drake has been involved in.
