10 Things Eminem Is Angry About On 'The Marshall Mathers LP 2'
Eminem sounds like a pissed off grandpa on The Marshall Mathers LP 2. Even though he's made millions and changed the lives of countless fans since releasing the original Marshall Mathers LP in 2000, you could make the argument that he sounds every bit as angry on its sequel.
What exactly is he so bitter about? A little of everything. From issues with his family to gripes about fame, he talks about all this on MMLP2. To help you catch them all, check out these 10 things Eminem is mad about.

Eminem Is Angry At: His dad
Lyrical Evidence: "So yeah, dad, let's walk/Let's have us a father and son talk/But I bet we probably wouldn't get one block/Without me knocking your block off," on "Rhyme or Reason"
Why's He Mad? It's no secret that Eminem's dad walked out on his family when he was a kid. Em has addressed it in the past. But on MMLP2, he seems extra upset about it and mentions it several times on this particular song as well as elsewhere on the album. This is one wound that doesn't seem like it's going to heal with time.

Eminem Is Angry At: Women in general
Lyrical Evidence: "Like I'm itchin' to get hitched/Yeah, I'm rich as a bitch but bitches ain't shit/I'd rather leave a bitch in a ditch," on "So Much Better"
Why's He Mad? Eminem pissed off at women? You don't say! Yes, yes, it's true. Em still has a cold heart when it comes to the opposite sex, and he goes to great lengths on MMLP2 to make sure that that still comes across.

Eminem Is Angry At: Autograph seekers
Lyrical Evidence: "'Shady, what up?' What? Come on, man, I'm crappin'/And you're asking me for my got damn autograph on a napkin?" on "So Far"
Why's He Mad? Eminem can't go anywhere—not even into a stall in a public restroom!—without getting harassed by his fans. Wait, this sounds familiar...

Eminem Is Angry At: People who told him he wasn't going to amount to anything in life
Lyrical Evidence: "All my life I was told and taught I am not shit/By you wack, fucking, giant sacks of lying dog shit," on "Legacy"
Why's He Mad? Even though he now has eight solo albums under his belt, Eminem still can't forgive those people who doubted him when he was a kid. Look at him now, guys.

Eminem Is Angry At: The "compliment" Asher Roth gave to him a couple years ago
Lyrical Evidence: "Quit acting salty/I was counting on you to count me out/Ask Asher Roth, when he round-a-bout dissed me to shout me out/Thought I was history, but goddman, honkey, that compliment's like backhanding a donkey," on "Asshole"
Why's He Mad? A couple years ago, Eminem gave Asher a compliment and Asher responded to it by saying that he was flattered that Em even knew who he was. We're sure he meant well by it. But it sounds like Em took it to mean that Asher thought Em was too old to know who he was. Obviously, that sentiment didn't sit well with him.

Eminem Is Angry At: Technology
Lyrical Evidence: "Fuck I gotta do to hear this new song from Luda?/Be an expert at computers?" on "So Far"
Why's He Mad? Eminem is not a technologically savvy guy. Not at all. On this song, he speaks to his inability to work any electronics made after, like, 1992. Someone help him get that new Luda track!

Eminem Is Angry At: Bullies
Lyrical Evidence: "I'm sick of just getting pushed, it's ridiculous/I look like a freaking wuss, a pussy/This kid just took my stick of licorice, and threw my sticker books in a pricker bush," on "Brainless"
Why's He Mad? Eminem hasn't forgotten about how he used to get bullied in elementary school. And he definitely hasn't forgiven the bullies who picked on him. He talks about it here.

Eminem Is Angry At: Wack rappers
Lyrical Evidence: "I just want to hurt you, aim for the skanks/Then aim for all these fake Kanyes, Jays, Wayne, and the Drakes," on "Evil Twin"
Why's He Mad? Eminem's entire premise on MMLP2 seems to be, "I can still rap really, really, really well." And part of him doing that is discrediting other rappers out there who don't spit like he does. So he talks about them negatively pretty frequently on the album.

Eminem Is Angry At: Fame
Lyrical Evidence: "Wanted to receive attention for my music/Wanted to be left alone in public, excuse me," on "The Monster"
Why's He Mad? When he first started rapping, Eminem wanted people to recognize his talent. But almost 20 years later, fame is taking its toll on him. And he doesn't like it. It's a theme that he raps about quite often on MMLP2.

Eminem Is Angry At: Himself
Lyrical Evidence: "I went in headfirst/Never thinking about who what I said hurt in which verse/My mom probably got it the worst," on "Headlights"
Why's He Mad? Throughout his career, Eminem has taken a lot of shots at his mother Debbie Mathers. But on MMLP2, he sounds sorry about the way he's conducted himself over the years. He stops short of taking all the blame for the rift that exists between him and his mom. But he does take a lot of responsibility for it.
