5 Other Celebs Who Should Have Their Own Cable Network

February 24, 2012 - 3:21 pm by Vibe

With Diddy's recent announcement that he is set to launch his own music themed cable network, Revolt, it’s only right that we present our picks of five other celebrities that should follow in his foot-steps.

Over the years we’ve seen a boom in reality TV drama, overly dramatic sitcoms, law and justice on steroids, and oh yeah, less music videos on the air. Womp. But we're aren't here to complain but to offer some possible solutions!

Here are 5 (there are plenty more) celebs that could possibly juice up what we’re watching on television by creating their own networks just like Diddy, Oprah Winfrey, and Magic Johnson. --Talim Adderly

Jay-Z

The world seems to be fascinated by Jay Z and the mystery behind the Jigga man. If it’s not rumors of his ties to the illuminati, than it’s a roar about his first child, Blue Ivy Carter. With his golden eye for entertainment and his clever yet suspenseful tactics, we’re sure the programming on a Jay Z owned network would keep us all glued to the screen.
Lindsay Lohan

Lindsay Lohan

There is no network on-air today that can infuse programming on the law and court systems, high-fashion, drug and alcohol interventions, theft, good acting and the chaos of wild partying and hook ups. But guess who could pull it off? That’s right, LL is the women for the job. She is yet another star that no matter how many times she messes up, people are still willing to give her another try. She would definitely attract a unique audience sector. It would be the network you hate to love!
Kanye West

Kanye West

Kanye West is a genius. I’m not sure if you remember his last Twitter rant that lasted for hours and went on about all of the creative ventures he wanted to explore. But would he name his network DWN? Donda West Network? We know that Kanye tries his best to keep his mothers strong legacy alive. He for-sure possess the vision and creativity that goes into the making of a network and besides, if his Taylor Swift moment was any indication what a live show moment would be like,we're sure viewers will be locked in.
Tyler Perry

Tyler Perry

Tyler Perry literally turned nothing into something. Not to say he was the first to do so but imagine what he could with his own network. This man has already presented us with several movies, sitcoms, stage plays and already has his OWN production company and studio. Did we mention he is Forbes top-paid man in entertainment? Although some are skeptical of Perry’s true intentions with the messages he portrays about the African American community, he has delivered us some pretty entertaining flicks. This would be the network that gives BET a run for its original programming money.
Birdman/ Cash Money

Birdman/ Cash Money

Regardless of what many say, (broke) people actually want to see other rich folks indulging in a bunch of lavish activities. So, who would be better than Birdman aka the Number 1 Stunna to have his own show.
