Lil Wayne vs. Pusha T

5 Reasons Why Lil Wayne Could Be Dissing Pusha T

May 24, 2012 - 5:07 pm by Keenan Higgins

Less than 24 hours ago, a rap beef that's been brewing for some time now resurfaced out of nowhere. Pusha T and Lil Wayne are back at the war of words, and we can't figure out why!

In the past, the two have gone at each other on wax, but we assumed that it was just that—in the past. Pusha however decided to release a new song called "Exodus 23:1," which contains multiple shots at multiple parties (most hailing from YMCMB).

Wayne didn't take lightly to Pusha's supposed line aimed at him "Jeremy Scott’s all camouflage, you can’t hide it from yourself career sabotage/I was really in that Travelodge, you just lying through your catalogues/Where the blood and the battle scars, we the ones the judge juggling them gavel’s on," and made his feelings known by tweeting, "Fuk pusha t and anybody that love em."

So here we are, at the helm of yet another rap beef (smh). Let's look into the most logical reasons why these two are probably butting heads again.

1. The Shots At Drake

1. The Shots At Drake Drake is the homie. We all know that. Pusha's line "Contract all f*cked up, I guess that means you’re all f*cked up/You signed to one n*gga, that signed to another n*gga, that signed to three n*ggas, now that’s bad luck" was supposedly a direct shot at Drizzy. It's only right that when someone comes for the homie's neck, you retaliate!

2. The Infamous Baby Verse On The "Re-Up Game Intro" "Don't make me turn daddy's lil' girl to orphan, that mean I'd have to kill Baby like abortion." If that isn't a line drawer, then we don't know what is! Birdman, aka "Baby," is Weezy's right hand, so you don't come for him without hearing the slightest bit of retaliation. Granted, this verse is 4 years old, but old beef is always up for resurrection when necessary. [videoembed size="full_width" alignment="center"][/videoembed]
3. "Dreams Money Can Buy"

3. "Dreams Money Can Buy" Even though Pusha claimed "no beef" at the end of this track, we can read between the lines and see where his cleverly-placed intentions were. Were they at Drake? Were they at Young Money in general? Either way, this was one of the defining moments where the subliminals became mad apparent. [videoembed size="full_width" alignment="center"][/videoembed]
4. "Exodus 23:1" Is Actually A YMCMB Diss

4. "Exodus 23:1" Is Actually A YMCMB Diss

4. "Exodus 23:1" Is Actually A YMCMB Diss Pusha may pull the infamous "I didn't say any names, so you must feel guilty if you take it personally" response, but we all know what it really is. If it is in fact a shot at Drake and the whole Young Money, then how else would you assume Weezy would react? Defending the team at all costs: that's how wars are won.

5. The Battle Between YMCMB and G.O.O.D. Music Is Reaching It's Peak From Wayne & Hov's rocky friendship to Common and Drake's weak feud over Serena, this battle of the bands has been stirring up for years now. Now that both sides have fully formed their roster—and the players on both sides have chosen a corner of the battle ring—this shit is looking like a hip-hop version of X-Men vs. Magneto & The Brotherhood! Let's just keep it on wax—we're not tryna send out any R.I.P.'s anytime soon.
