5 Reasons Why Wiz Khalifa Is Winning With 'Cabin Fever 2'
We were supposed to have Wiz Khalifa's sophomore album, O.N.I.F.C., on our iPods by now. Originally, it was slated to be released in September before it was pushed back to December. But, we're not even all that broken up about it. Why, you ask? Well, because Wiz is still putting out music at a pretty feverish pace. In the last month, he's released his new single, "Remember You," featuring The Weeknd. He's appeared as a guest on tracks by Curren$y, Boaz, and Ne-Yo. And, most recently, he put out his new mixtape, Cabin Fever 2. It's been more than enough to hold us over until December.
We were most impressed with the mixtape effort. Although we originally thought that Cabin Fever 2 would be filled with leftovers from his O.N.I.F.C. recording sessions, the truth is that a lot of the songs that appear on it are really, really solid. As VIBE editor Mikey Fresh pointed out on Twitter shortly after the tape dropped, Wiz probably could have called the mixtape Kush & Orange Juice 2. It's that good.
To help explain why we're so into it, we put together a list of the 5 Reasons Wiz Khalifa Is Winning With Cabin Fever 2. If the mixtape is any indication of what we can expect from O.N.I.F.C., then we can't wait for December.
