7 'SNL' Skits Kanye West Won't Be Doing

May 16, 2013 - 3:18 pm by Clover Hope

Kanye West doesn’t do interviews. So it’s only during his live shows that we get a glimpse into his psyche these days. This time, it was during a concert at the Roseland Ballroom in New York, where Ye spilled his thoughts about the paparazzi and kissing babies. Nothing new. But during the show, Ye also mentioned that he won’t be doing a skit about the paps during his upcoming appearance on Saturday Night Live, stating: “All they want is for a nigga to laugh and shit. Hell nah, I ain’t doin no muthafuckin’ SNL skits.”

Kanye’s vexing relationship with cameramen who sell photos of him for money only heightened after he and Kim K. went public. But Yeezy isn’t here to make you laugh. Check out a few other skits Kanye West will not be doing when he serves as the musical guest on SNL this Saturday (May 18).

1. A skit about his notorious rants

A skit where Kanye West plays Kanye West going on a 10-minute rant about why peanuts are disgusting? Or why double parking should be legal? No, Kanye West won’t be doing that, nor will he do an animated skit about it.

2. A skit making fun of his relationship with Kim Kardashian

The Kardashian clan has been the butt of many SNL jokes. Rumor had it that Kanye would only do the show if producers put the kibosh on the Kim K. spoofs. True or not, if Yeezy won’t poke fun at the paps, it’s unlikely that he’d address the elephant in the room, either. They're only here for your entertainment when it benefits them. 3. A skit about Kanye West running for office

...With George W. Bush as his Vice Presidential running mate? Ha, Kanye West won’t do that. Because he doesn’t like kissing babies. Said Kanye at Roseland: “I ain’t kissin’ nobody’s muthafuckin’ babies. I drop your baby and you muthafuckin’ sue me and shit.” It’s the worst when that happens.

4. Absolutely no skit related to Taylor Swift. Are you kidding? FOH.

5. A skit about Kanye West as God

Kanye West playing the role of the Almighty? That’d tickle some funny bones. (Because he has a song called “I Am A God" and makes a lot of religious references). But Kanye West is not doing a skit about that, sorry.

6. A skit about Justin Timberlake

When Justin Timberlake hosted and performed on SNL in March, the pop star took a jab at Kanye’s “Suit & Tie” gripe. Here’s Kanye West’s chance to get the last laugh... literally, since it’s the SNL season finale. Except that Kanye West won’t be doing a skit about Justin Timberlake. Because why?

7. A skit about Kanye West being head of the Illuminati

Uh, he's not allowed to talk about that... So no.
