Nicki Minaj- Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded

Analyze This! A Breakdown of Guest Features on Nicki Minaj's 'Roman Reloaded' Album

April 5, 2012 - 3:13 pm by VIBE

With Nicki Minaj's wide range of ever-present musical personas, it's becoming increasingly difficult to shine on a track with Young Money's princess. But with the release of Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded Nicki managed to line up an all-star cast of collaborators who are more than fit for the challenge. Between choruses crooned by Breezy and Bobby V and verses spit by hip hop veterans by the likes of Nas and Cam'ron, it's hard to say which guest appearance added the most to Nicki's hit-filled sophomore album but we've done so anyway. Take a look at our breakdown of the guest appearances on Roman Reloadedfrom best to worst. -- Jazmine Gray

1. Cam'ron - "I Am Your Leader"

Cam'ron brings the heat for what may very well be the best guest appearance on the album. Between his impeccable flow with lyrics like "See the car is European but got imported from Tokyo/Looking like a shark, the nose call it Pinocchio," Killa Cam holds true to the name and kills it.
2. Chris Brown - "Right By My Side"

2. Chris Brown - "Right By My Side"

Chris Brown singing the hook on a track is almost a surefire way for a song to be a hit. With that said, it's no surprise that his smooth vocals add to one of the album's best tracks. Breezy belts out the lyrics "Gotta let you know how I'm feeling/You own my heart and she's just renting/Don't turn away, pay attention/I'm pouring out my heart girl."
3. Lil Wayne - "Roman Reloaded"

3. Lil Wayne - "Roman Reloaded"

It's only right that Weezy ranks as one of the best guest appearances on Nicki's album. Though his presence on "Sex In The Lounge" is forgettable, he redeems himself with his verse on "Roman Reloaded". "F*ck the world with my thumb/Pop a molly smoke a blunt/That mean I’m a high roller/My ex wanna work it out, b*tch try Yoga."
4. Rick Ross - "I Am Your Leader"

Next in line, Ricky Rozay is 'bout it in his guest contribution spitting "Made a deal for my project, just give me 10 mill I’m gravy/I went back to the projects and 2 mill in Mercedes/I get hit from your lady, have her bill me later/I’m on school with the hustle, just gave Rihanna my pager."
5. 2 Chainz "Beez In The Trap"

5. 2 Chainz "Beez In The Trap"

2 Chainz is another one of the best appearances on the album with his contributions to "Beez In The Trap." He flows "I weren't rappin' I'd be trappin'/If I weren't trappin' I'd be pimpin'/If I weren't pimpin' I'd be gettin' it, period."
6. Nas - "Champion"

6. Nas - "Champion"

Nas makes his presence memorable with his verse "I just aspire and desire to be different/My ten year old plan is just one year to finish/My list looks like this, first thing that you'll discover/ The difference in pussy, White, Black, Latin and other."
7. Young Jeezy - "Champion"

7. Young Jeezy - "Champion"

Jeezy surprisingly outshines Drake with his addition to "Champion." He says " straight balling in this bitch --Jeremy Lin; 'Melo/Tell me one thing you won't do -- settle/ Give me one word for each chain--yellow/Pocket full of money, black cars-- ghetto."
8. Drake - "Champion"

8. Drake - "Champion"

Surprisingly, Drake is lower on the list for best guest appearances. Whether because of the hype of his name or the excitement of all of Nicki's new collaborators, his verse is slightly underwhelming in comparison to typical Drizzy. But October's very own still brings it of course spitting "T.O. n*gga either riding range'The Ferrari top down, screaming, 'Money ain't a thang!'"
10. Bobby V - "Sex In The Lounge"

10. Bobby V - "Sex In The Lounge"

Aside from the possible surprise of seeing Bobby V on "Roman Reloaded" his appearance on the album is among the less memorable. He sings the hook "Sex in the lounge, girl I'm gon take you down/I'm a have you screamin girl/They gon hear the sound of our sex in the lounge."
9. Beenie Man - "Gun Shot"

9. Beenie Man - "Gun Shot"

Beenie Man's appearance throws a twist in the midst of singers and rappers by adding a reggae spin to the already accent-filled track. However, his spewing words "I’m a G/ The girls them provide the lock for my key/You alone, mi a pree/You fulfill all my desires for me" find it hard to compete with tracks featuring some of hip hop's artist artists right now.
