Anderson .Paak, Willow Smith, And More Fight Gun Violence In New Photo Campaign
Driving forces in hip hop and the music industry join forces to end gun violence in America.
As more and more people are killed as a result of gun violence, some artists are taking a stand. In a new photo campaign brought to life by Questlove and nonprofit organization, Everytown for Gun Safety, many of music's best have joined forces in hopes of stopping the hashtags and ultimately ending gun violence.
Questlove's motive for the campaign birthed from his frustrations with the tragic mass shooting in the Orlando nightclub, which claimed the lives of more than 50 civilians. "What will it take just to have a conversation about #GunControl," he asked following the horrific event. In recent months, the conversation of gun violence as been a hot topic, but Questlove and others are seeking to continue the conversation on a larger scale.
Anderson .Paak, Willow Smith, Zoe Kravitz, and Beyonce's protégés, Chloe x Halle lead the campaign. In the images -- taken by photographer, Shayan Asgharnia -- they are each captured holding signs, which read: "We can end gun violence." Additionally, Jidenna, Dev Hynes, and Jada Pinkett Smith are also featured in the photo spread.
