September 9, 1989: Avicii is born under the name Tim Bergling in Stockholm, Sweden.

Before we jump further into Avicii history, let's just take a moment to appreciate his cuteness in baby photos.

Tim also has an older, half-brother through his mom's side: Anton Körberg is a well-known actor, drummer and morning radio show host in Sweden.

2007: At age 18, Tim became a bedroom DJ first producing tracks under the DJ name Tim Berg.

2007: It was heavyweight DJ Tiësto who first offered his support to Tim during his early producing days.

To this day, he still serves as Avicii's mentor.

2007: Avicii's first gig/residency was at Privilege in Ibiza.
