Beyonce’s Love For Topshop Leads To A Collaboration Because… Duh

Silly us, thinking Beyonce’s love for Topshop wouldn’t lead to some coins…

Beyonce has just announced a new collaboration with the UK retailer. Teaming up with one of her favorite brands as of late, Queen Bey and Topshop have created a 50/50 venture company called Parkwood Topshop Athletic Ltd., which will focus on the growing trend of athletic streetwear.

While the brand remains unnamed, Beyonce’s Topshop line will offer clothing, footwear and accessories, mixing fashion with functionality for dance, fitness and sports apparel. The partnership marks an expansion in the singer’s Parkwood imprint, as she made note of in a statement.

“I could not think of a better partner as I continue to grow the Parkwood business. I have always loved TopShop for their fashion credentials and forward thinking” Beyonce said. “Working with their development team to create and produce a technical and fashion led collection is exciting and I’m looking forward to participating in all aspects of this partnership.”

Topshop owner, Philip Green, praised Beyonce’s work ethic in his statement.

"Being partners with Beyoncé and her team who have the greatest creative energy and enthusiasm is inspiring for all of the team at TOPSHOP,” he said. “We have much to achieve in just under a year, but we are all up for the challenge, and look forward to delivering athletic street-wear in an inventive and exciting way.”

Beyonce’s athletic wear Topshop line is set to launch in Fall 2015. It will be available in Topshop stores and online.
