Bud Light Fuses Art With Music At Lollapalooza 2016

Leave it to Bud Light Music to bring the good times.

Leave it to Bud Light Music to bring the good times.

As fans took in all the fun and festivities of Lollapalooza's 25th annual music festival, many music lovers trekked to the most northern stage, dubbed after the American brew company, to catch their favorite artists like Future, Major Lazer, and Disclosure, deliver electrifying performances.  But to the left of the blue and white stage lived an area where attendees can take a break, play games like cornhole, and chill out to a cold can of Bud Light.

To make the Bud Light Music area a colorfully cool experience, Bud Light commissioned local Chicago artist Floyd A. Davis IV to design, hand-craft and build an interactive art installation, made of wood and inspired by the Lollapalooza commemorative can designed by local Chicago artist Kyle Stewart. On the Lolla can, Stewart depicted some of the Windy City’s most notable landmarks while paying homage to the city’s rich musical history.

Aside from offering goodies like misting hand fans, Bud Light Music closed out the first day of the festival with an unforgettable bang, thanks in part to the DJ duo Flosstradamus, who closed out their set with surprise appearances by Chicago's own Chance the Rapper, Michelle Williams (formerly of Destiny's Child) and the Bulls' newest addition, Dwyane Wade. Before leaving the stage, the Chicago-natives grabbed a few ice-cold Bud Lights for a special toast and invited the festival crowd to take a selfie.

If you couldn't make it to this year's Lollapalooza festival, flip through to see what you missed. Next year's festival might be one for the books.
