This morning fans of actor Paul Walker, who gained fame as an undercover detective in the wildly popular The Fast and the Furious franchise, mourned his passing after word broke about his car accident via Twitter.
Costars Chris "Ludacris" Bridges, Tyrese Gibson, and director James Wan all commented how heartbroken and shocked they were to learn that Walker and a friend both died in a fiery crash in Valencia, California. The single-vehicle collision occurred around 3:30PM PST local time. Authorities and those on hand arrived to find the 2005 Porsche Carrera GT the two were driving in had been engulfed in flames.

While the cause of the collision is under investigation, the news has reverberated all across social media with fans, concerned Twitizens, and others all offering their prayers and well wishes virally.
According to a statement on Walker's Twitter account, the recently-turned 40-year-old was on his way to a charity event to aid Filipino victims of Typhoon Haiyan for his organization Reach Out Worldwide, which he formed in 2010 as a quick response first-aid organization.
Walker's career began on the small screen, first with a commercial for Pampers when he was only 2-years-old, and then with parts on shows such as Highway to Heaven and Touched By An Angel. Before his starring role as Agent Brian O'Conner in Fast and Furious, which is currently in production on its seventh installment, Walker's first few movie roles were as supporting characters in teen flicks, most notably in Varsity Blues.
