John Legend And Stella Artois Gift New Yorkers With A Night "Under The Stars"
For more than 600 years, Stella Artois has quenched the thirst of beer drinkers across the world. Tracing its roots back to Belgium, the Artois Brewery originally crafted the ale specifically for the holidays as a gift to the people of Leuven, but soon realized the smooth, crisp taste was too good to be shared just once a year.
With the holidays in full swing, the spirit of giving has commenced. Stella Artois teamed up with Grammy and Academy-Award winner John Legend to give New Yorkers an enchanting and eye-opening night under the stars.
Wednesday evening (December 9) media and luminaries indulged in hors d' oeuvres and glasses of classic brew before heading into a small auditorium where they enjoyed an art installation that consisted of more than 500 LED lights crafted to mirror the stars in the sky. Before Legend performed, guests indulged in a unique serenade as they heard the one-of-a-kind vibrations of stars recorded by scientists.
Wearing a pink carnation colored suit, Legend demonstrated old-Hollywood glamour as he performed a bevy of hits including "Green Light," "Tonight (Best You Ever Had)," "All of Me," and his classic "Ordinary People." The soon-to-be father capped off the romantic evening by performing "Under The Stars" the first-ever dual collaboration with Stella Artois that features the sound of stars.
New Yorkers, born and raised, or transplants, enjoy the best the world has to offer. A thriving metropolis, opportunities abundant and the infinite bragging rights of living in the city that never sleeps, but what city dwellers don't have are stars, and for one night, John Legend and Stella Artois gave them to New York.
