Keke Palmer And 'E! News' Correspondent Alicia Quarles Promote 'Get Schooled' Campaign In NYC
School may be in recess in a few weeks, but it's never too late to get a little bit more education in before the summer hits.
In partnership with the Capital One NYC College Challenge, actress Keke Palmer and E! News correspondent Alicia Quarles joined the "Get Schooled" program (May 21) to congratulate teenagers across the Big Apple on their efforts to successfully complete another year of school upon graduation.
The premise of the initiative is to influence kids in high school to focus and prepare for the next level of their higher education which includes financial aid information, career options for the future and when to start their college or university search.
“I loved school as a kid, I am innately curious and learning has been so crucial to my success. The value of a good education was instilled in me at a very young age,” Palmer said in a press release. “I am excited to be here today to recognize these extraordinary efforts of students across New York City."
