Makonnen, Jazz Cartier and Basecamp's Saturday Shutdown of Redbull's '30 Days In LA'
Red Bull Sound Select's 30 Days In LA concert series is nearing its end for 2015 but not before delivering a few more loaded shows.
VIBE was in attendance to catch a soul satisfying night from polarizing Toronto rapper Jazz Cartier, who won over the crowd with his fan favorites "Dead Or Alive" and "Stick & Move" on Saturday night. After gaining his footing, Jazz turned the audience up with his call & response hooks.
Nashville Soulful trio Basecamp followed the buzzing rapper with their trademark sultry dance tracks. The Nashville crew brought the perfect balance of pitch perfect grooves and mellow vibes to the private party.
To close it out, the tight crowd at Mack Sennett Studios in Hollywood huddled together for a wild night of live music. The place really exploded when ATL's iLoveMakonnen ran onstage and finished the night off.
He went off with a slew of his obscure but danceable trap hits like, "Don't Sell Molly No More" and the inescapable, "Going Up On A Tuesday." The hotboy even took time to big up USC and the Trojans after showing off his sweatshirt dedicated to the team. By the show's end, it was clear that Makonnen can rock the mic in Hollywood whenever he chooses.
VIBE will be back in the building tonight (Nov 30) for the grand finale with the still unannounced, secret performer.
