Did Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus really beef on-air during the 2015 MTV VMAs?

It was the clapback seen all around the world. But was it real?

At the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night (Aug. 30), Nicki Minaj bagged the Moonman for Best Hip Hop Video with the rump-tious "Anaconda" visual. After empowering Barbs at the podium ("You guys are so epic and I hope you follow your dreams”), the female rapstress born Onika Maraj proceeded to bring out the Queens in her for what seemed like a few jabs at VMA host, Miley Cyrus.

“Back to this b*tch that had a lot to say about me the other day in the press; Miley, what’s good?," she said, referring to a New York Times piece where Miley made certain comments about Nicki's non-Video of the Year nomination for "Anaconda."
